Privacy Policy

This covers what data Daily Dungeon, a Discord game bot (running as robo shiv on Discord) built with cordless, collects and how it's used.
cordless itself is an open-source framework anyone can use to build their own Discord bot. This policy only covers Daily Dungeon specifically, not other, unrelated bots someone else has built with cordless.
What's collected
- Your Discord user ID and, where relevant, the server (guild) ID, so the bot can track game state, leaderboards, and (for paid features) subscription status tied to your account.
- Game data: scores, run history, inventory, streaks, and similar gameplay stats, stored to power leaderboards and profile stats.
- For paid subscriptions: a Stripe customer ID and subscription ID, and the subscription's status. No payment details (card numbers, billing address, etc.) ever pass through or get stored by the bot, Stripe handles all of that directly under Stripe's own Privacy Policy.
What's not collected
No email address, no direct message content, and no general server chat, Discord only sends the bot the specific command and options a user invokes, not the rest of a channel's conversation.
How data is used
Solely to run the bot's features: gameplay, leaderboards, streaks, and subscriber status checks. Never sold, never shared with advertisers.
Data retention
- Daily run records and leaderboard entries auto-expire after 60 days.
- Lifetime profile stats (best scores, streaks) and subscription records are kept for as long as an account keeps playing or subscribing, or until deletion is requested.
Third parties involved
- Discord, the platform itself. See Discord's own Privacy Policy for how they handle account and message data.
- Stripe, payment processing for paid subscriptions. See Stripe's Privacy Policy linked above.
- Amazon Web Services (AWS), hosts the bot's infrastructure (Lambda, DynamoDB) in the EU (London) region.
Your rights
Ask for your data to be deleted or exported any time via the support links below. Deletion requests are actioned promptly. Some data, like a completed subscription's billing history, may still be retained by Stripe as required for tax or legal record-keeping, independent of a deletion request made here.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as the bot changes. Meaningful changes will be reflected here with an updated effective date.
